I liked how both sides were equally presented, both with flawed arguments and personal motivations behind their political stances.
It was nicely presented, since it was rather easy for one of them to slip into villainy.

yep, completely ignored the ideological conflict in the entire second half of the movie. in fact it's made clear neither of them gave a shit about ideology in the first place, they were motivated entirely by saving a friend or revenge for a dead family member.
Pretty much every character was motivated by revenge. Crossbones, Zemo, Black Panther, Tony. It's like they couldn't give them fleshed out character arcs so instead they went "fuck it, make it so they're out for revenge or something"
