Movie was good for what it was. Goldblum slipped effortlessly back into character and this was the performance of Pullman's career. The guy genuinely seemed to be broken by what he was going through.
Smith being absent was very noticable. Loggia being near death and showing up for 15 seconds was cool but made me miss him even more.

All of the dialogue is awful and cringe-inducing even by Roland Emmerich standards, it's insulting in how it constantly beats you over the head with references to the original, annoying comic relief characters get way too much screen time, there's an over-reliance on CGI in contrast to the original which used practical effects wherever possible, and just like in X-Men Apocalypse all the massive destruction feels weirdly impersonal, it's all viewed from a distance without giving you much of a sense of the human casualties.
