What does /tv/ think of the big lebowski? i really dont care for it, and dont understand why so many claim it to be the best movie of all time. wouldnt even be in my top 10.

Would you mind explaining? My uncle who is a film buff loves this movie, my mom likes it a lot from what I remember too. Everyone seems to go "Oh yeah, le big le-bowski!" when it's mentioned and is familiar with it, everyone Gen X or older.
W-what am I missing? Is it an age thing? Is it a case where you realize, the older you get, it's pretty silly to take yourself so seriously and the film just really nails that?
Can anyone recommend similar movies that are noir parodies?
