He is amazing at getting to you at a physical level. Like making an explosion in Furious 7 feel like it's really huge and powerful, or playing with the audience's nerves for two full hours with The Conjuring 1 and 2. For some reason he seems really intent on making B-movies with second-rate scripts though.
