People like to shit over the prequels, but they seem to forget how much originality and world building George brought to the Star Wars universe with them.

What does The Shekels Awakens gives us? Literally a remake of Episode 4. How come Tie Fighters and X-Wings still look the exact same as they did 30 years ago? Why does the E̶m̶p̶i̶r̶e̶ First Order decide to create ANOTHER Death Star with the exact same weak point as before, despite that already failing twice? Why did they kill off Han Solo in the most disrespectful way possible, just throwing him away like trash in favor of the new "diverse" cast? And don't even get me started on Ma-Rey Sue, who's literally perfect in every single way. Why bother giving your character flaws when you can just make them a minority/woman and confront any criticism by calling people bigots, amirite?
I'm convinced that 90% of the people defending TFA to the death are paid Disney shills trying to perform as much damage control as possible. It's going to be hilarious when Episode 8: Episode 5: The E̶m̶p̶i̶r̶e̶ First Order Strikes Back comes out and completely ruins the lore by revealing the force is literally a fucking tree, with Rey literally being space Eve.

Too harsh on the prequels? The storyline didn't make any sense and the only thing "good" about them was highly choreographed lightsaber duels. The characters were one-dimensional and didn't have any personality. The movie didn't have the correct tone, or any coherent tone at all, especially Episode 3. The movies appeared to try and appeal to every single demographic possible and it really shows scene to scene. Mixing slapstick comedy with someone getting the head cut the fuck off. The forced romance was awful.
