Hardhome is overrated. Good episode, one of the few redeeming features in the total shitfest that was season 5, but people talk like it's a masterpiece when all it is is just a pretty cool battle scene towards the end.

Before the recent drop in quality, I'd say there was nothing that BB could do as well as GoT. Back then, GoT also didn't have all that plot armour that Walt wore throughout every season.
Battle of the Bastards is just a "turn your brain off" crowd pleasing action plebfest. lots of great thrills and impressive battle scenes, but also unrealistic and contrived as fuck. literally TWD-tier, just on a higher scale.

The battle in GoT was well shot but the show has devolved into terrible writing since season 4. BB was not perfect but it was never as bad as GoT has become.

I would argue that much of S1 and S3 is equal in stature to TD S1. And nothing in GoT (with the possible exception of the Dorne plot) was as bad as S2 of TD was.
BB partly harked back to the previous era before the rise of the HBO shows where things had to be exciting without any pretence to realism. This is why Walter needed so much plot armour and was always getting into scrapes that were solved at the last minute. It subtracted from the show a lot, I thought.

Justified is literally every other cop show except in this one the protagonist wears a cowboy hat. Every story arc is predictable and the show is as shallow as anything ever show on television.
