Pls explain

They think Jon is her father.
>>71161061
god fucking dammit /tv/
>>71160982
>believing this
What would be the significance to this? Jon being a confirmed child of R + L means a lot, but Meera is a supporting character with no real purpose but to be Bran's wheelchair driver.
>>71161019
> Tower of Joy
> Lyanna gives birth to twins
> Boy and girl
> Ned takes boy
> Howland Reed takes girl
> Meera is same age as Jon in show
> Looks like him, looks nothing like Jojen
>>71161096

>>71161149
Thank you
>>71161149
>>71161154
thats...more plausible I suppose. Still agree w the premise of >>71161142
>>71161175
They are lying though.
>>71161175
It's coincidental in the books she's described as a Cranogman or whatever their called.

Post yfw this dialogue is included in the finale.

Perhaps the third head of the dragon.
Seeing as how Aegon is completely absent from the show, I am guessing it is mostly a red herring in the books.
The theory of Tyrion being the third Targ does hold some weight, what with The Mad King and Tywin getting cucked, but why would Tywin care so much about a baby that wasn't his, unless he just wanted to make his life a living hell.
>>71161302
Even if it wasn't his, Tyrion would still be a Lannister, since Tywin's wife was his cousin.
>>71161478
Nice
Such a shit theory
Meera is swamp manlet spawn who looks nothing like Jon, Rhaegar or Lyanna
>>71161526
> Looks EXACTLY like Jon (check pic related)
> Dany would be Jon and Meera's aunt so it's irrelevant
Dipshit
>>71161583
Is this "looks" hypothesis backed up by the book? Or is this solely based on the appearance of the actors?
>>71161642
Checking it out. Will update.

From the Wiki
Meera:
As is typical of crannogmen, Meera is short and slim. She has long brown hair[3] and green eyes.[4] Although she is flat chested and is never described as being particularly beautiful, Theon Greyjoy seems to consider her attractive,[5] while Bran Stark's initial crush on her grows to the point of believing himself to love her by A Dance with Dragons.[6]
Jon
Even at age fourteen, Jon is said to have more Stark-like features than any of his half-brothers.[3] Jon has a lean build, with dark brown hair and grey eyes so dark they border on black.
Not description of Lyanna found but it is said she strongly resembles:
Arya
Arya's appearance is more Stark than Tully, with a long face, grey eyes, and brown hair.
Jon: Grey/black eyes and brown hair
Meera: Green eyes and brown hair
Arya (Lyanna): Grey eyes and brown hair
Thoughts?
>>71161142
3rd dragon rider. Book-wise aegon is looking like a fraud. Show-wise who could it be? Tyrion? No.
>>71161583
>Dany would be Jon and Meera's aunt so it's irrelevant
It is not the relation to Dany that makes it irrelevant, it's that Meera's character is not written to be a major character. Thus, a reveal like this would either change nothing about Meera and her story because she is nothing but a cripple's crutch, or she would have to be rapidly written up to suddenly care about the politics of the realm.
Reminder that Meera
>doesn't know how to fight well
>has never even seen a dragon
>has no particular powers
>has no leadership skills
If she joins Jon and Dany when they take Westoros she will do nothing but sit around as the king's sister, and the reveal will be for nothing.
Meera's role is carry Bran's babies. The end.

>doesn't know how to fight well
She killed a white walker (with a regular steel spear) and multiple wights while a fullgrown direwolf got absolutely rekt in seconds

Perhaps the significance is more for Howland Reed's entrance.
GRRM said we would eventually meet him and seeing as how mysterious and significant he is, I am feeling it is going to be epic.
That is, if we haven't met Howland already
