I have cox too and finally got one after countless years of downloading shit
just pay for a yearly VPN, I use Private Internet Access and it's decent
I also stream shit off random websites that host movies and shows without the VPN and there's little risk in that
I have money and would gladly pay for high quality downloads of movies. It's just that I don't want streaming garbage, and it can be difficult to go out and buy the blu-ray you want (and even if you do that it can be difficult to put the blu-ray file on your computer).
Piracy is really the best option.
