They've made her smug to the point it's fucking unintentionally comical which is uncharacteristic for this franchise. I'm starting to become skeptical she will win. Say what you will about GoT's quality, but it is undeniably the best modern work of fiction when it comes to manipulating the emotions/expectations of the audience. It would be very weird and not fitting with the rest of the story at all if Dany just went undefeated. She also doesn't have any real romantic interests or family to give a shit about, so I imagine she will have to die as there is no other way to punish her. Or they could go the mad king route.
