MGSV is incredibly meta, and a stroke of absolute genious. Disregarding being bogged down by Konami, the entire theme of the game was that revenge is hollow, extending this feeling of emptiness to the player with the climax of the story placed smack dab in the middle of the game. Everything falls apart after that, and the "reveal" of Venom not really being Jack (Big Boss) does not offer a catharsis so much as creating even more confusion in the player. Paired with the (purposefully) left out "Episode 51", the player themself is left with a "Phantom Pain". I could go on and on about the subtlties of this game that I adore that everybody else seems to gloss over.

Him and the english traduction was made right after that to work with the new mo cap actors like Keifer. Kojima let to the end the japanese dub with Akio Otsuka. Just like bayonetta or dmc this was made with the english dub in mind and on first place

MGSV is a huge disappointment after the other games. I actually expected a decent movie just like mgsiv and 3. But instead got s very shitty open world game with MGS gameplay, Too bad the gameplay was not the reason fans enjoyed the previous entries. Kojima lost it unfortunately.

Kojima understands English perfectly well, he just has trouble speaking it. The only reason he carries around a translator is because he becomes incredibly flustered when he messes up his speech.
The fact that he opened his new game at E3 in English shows a great deal of respect for his audience. He still messed up ("We mooh-*shakes head*We made for you") but he felt it necessary to try.
