Now that the dust has settled, was this Kino that just couldn't be understood in its time? I think it has aged like a fine wine, and will only continue to do so as the world's population becomes more intelligent and can understand art and motifs better over time.

Just look at this cinematography.

GREAT payoff after 30+ years of waiting

Yeah true. That fight scene he had with dooku was fucking cool.

Christopher Lee was perfectly cast.

Why are people calling movies "movie theather"?
>>
>>71091424
What was he trying to convey with this image?
>>
>>71091593
that star wars is about comic books and George lucas is not a real film director just like kubrick spielberg and nolan and the only real movie directors are snyder tarantino and Scorsese
>>
>>71091514
kino as in kinograph, the art of hand drawn frames....

the greatest work of art known to man.

Who knows.... is a movie CINEMA which means theater too...
>>
>>71091240
I liked it more than Ep1, to be quite honest family.

It had some great parts, like the whole "Obi-Wan Space Detective" routine, and the new planets were all very nice. Obi-Wan and Jango Fett, I think, were the stars.

The romance arc was hard to believe in. Good cinematography in many scenes, but bad, bad dialogue.

The eponymous "Attack" was a small part of the movie. Half of this should have been Episode I, with II being about the actual war, without Kid Anakin at ll.

Agreed. Ep2 has Obi-Wan salvaging half of the film.

Ep1 is pure "Disney Star Wars Before Actual Disney"

>Silly useless adults
>Kid saves the day
>Funny animal creatures: BUY TOYS!

Kinda pathetic, George, desu

I am really happy Lucs showed Anakin as a kid.

I found the scene when he is saying goodbye to his mother really emotional in Phantom Menace - and its poetry when he finds her again when asking her in ep 1 if he will ever see her again: thus starting his rage due to losing the kind and caring women who nurtured him.

Is ANYONE in this thread not being ironic? What the fuck is wrong with you people? Did Episode 7 having female and black leads affect you SO MUCH that you now revere the prequels as good films? What in the fuck, think about your lives and how fucking pathetic that is
>>
>>71092733
i really like episode ii until the clone battle, then it just becomes a cg mess. the fireside scene is horrible, though. what was george thinking?
>>
>>71091240
My mom just watched it for the first time, after having just seen the originals, and Attack is her favourite so far.

I was also surprised how much I enjoyed it, especially the third act.

Episode 7 is at least the 4th best movie, probably 3rd. And that isn't even up for debate when we're comparing it to the pure garbage that is the prequels.

Anywhere else on the internet I would not even have to have this conversation. You retards are so fucking contrarian and edgy that you have convinced yourselves that the prequels of all things are just high art and above most peoples' heads.

Get a fucking scan for brain tumors.
>>
>>71092733
The prequels ended 11 years ago and the kids who liked them have grown up and become more vocal in the fandom.

There's also the fact that /tv/ is full of contrarians.

>being this pleb

shiggy diggy my dude

Personally, I enjoy the "no cheese" edits, but Lucas' vision with the prequels is on a much higher level than episode 7. JJ's isn't even canon to me really. I loved how bright and full of life the worlds and characters were. This is the hints we got in the OT, what we had dreamed about for ages, fully realized.

Podracing aka SW car chase, sleek ship designs, clever characters and Shakespeare like over the top dialogue, vibrant worlds.

Both of George's series are special effects wonders that changed the industry, while being wonderful stories that could capture anyone's imagination.

they were pretty standard by blockbuster standards.

The movie was just bad.
