People don't try to sell it as a good movie, you dipshit, you can enjoy things for being silly, not everything has to be SeriousMania indie dramas about family relations.
I saw the first one when I was a kid and loved it. It's not a really good movie, but it's got a special place in my heart. That be said, this one doesn't have that charm the first one did. I don't even know why, aside from some suits thinking they could profit off of it, we even needed a fucking sequel.
