Being a giant is a huge advantage, but if you go in with -points in def and armour, you're just a big target.
If wun-wun had his greatbow for ranged, a castle door piece as a shield and a fucking tree trunk covered in swords as a weapon for sweeping through whole shitloads of dudes, he'd have been unstoppable.
Throw some armour and a helmet ontop of that to boot? No fucking way. Arrow heads coudl hit all over him, going through plate and then by the time they get through him, they'd only really ever get muscle, no organs.
You could literally kill an entire army with a single giant + calvary. Giant mows down everything with his shield outfront and swinging his huge tree club, horses galloping in the rear of him covering his ass and firing arrows in all directions from horseback, mongolian style.
