IDK, it was clear that Ace's reaction to realizing he was kissed by a man in disguise (that's what he was - a lunatic disguising himself as a woman, not a 'transvestite' who was born as the wrong sex mentally) was presented as childish and over-the-top.
It was also showing the difference between how Ace saw himself as a cool detective and the reality of being constantly humiliated and further humiliating himself whenever it happened.
Finkle Einhorn was a cartoonish villain who was insane for dumb reasons and wanted to destroy the Maimi dolphins at all costs, going to ridiculous lengths to disguise himself as a police captain and a woman. All for the most bizarre revenge.
It's a fucking farce. It's not meant to be serious or a serious condemnation of transsexualism or transvestism.
Einhorn is neither of those things. If anything it's an outstanding and unusual role for a female actor that probably won't happen again.
