What is the longest running show that did not get worse?

This. Although honestly season 1 wasn't as good but the show got heaps better as it progressed.
No idea why some people seem to hate season 9. I thought the finale was a good way to send it.

Seinfeld went on a high note. S9 had some sub-par eps in my opinion, but it was a good season. People like to shit on the post-David seasons, but S8 was fucking excellent.
Friends, while not as good as Seinfeld actually kind of stayed fresh until the end. Ross was fucking great, but Joey and Phoebe went full retard.

Malcolm in the Middle only had 7 seasons but was consistent all the way through, not a single bad episode. Seinfeld's first couple of seasons were shitty, and the last ones weren't as good as the rest.
