approx. 2/3 of this show are fucking awful but for some reason i like it
i can never tell when it's trying to be bad on purpose and when it's just bad
>>70966754
If it's episode 15-20 it's unintentionally bad but still pretty fun to watch
>>70966816
I might have the episodes wrong there 2bh.anything between Leland's death and the last few episodes are the bad episodes
>>70966816
i know, everyone hates the end of s2, but i was cringing at points in this show from the very start
i don't think there was a single episode i enjoyed all the way through
>>70966963
Hmmm. The first episode seemed almost perfect , to me. Maybe it's just not your kind of show.
>>70966754
I can tell many games like F.E.A.R. were inspired by this series' horror moments, such as the empty hospital corridors in this clip as you are waiting for something to happen and don't know when

to be fair i'm more of a film than a tv guy, but in theory it's pretty much exactly 'my kind of show'
>>70968122
>i'm more of a film than a tv guy
too bad Lynch only is going to do tv shows now. He isn't into movies much anymore.
I hope he does something else after the new twin peaks
>>70966754
The filler episodes looked like they had potential, but the writing and dialogue was such a shocker unfortunately
>>70968224
he's given us more than enough already for me to be satisfied with and grateful of his career
>>70966754
I hear you, it lays on the cheese a little too thick at times. Doing it ironically doesn't make it any less shit. I like most of the show however.
>>70968313
and yet I still haven't watched Blue Velvet.
How does it stand compared to Drive, Highway for instance?
>>70968350
>How does it stand compared to Drive, Highway for instance?
ehrr, Lost Highway? I find it closer in tone to Twin Peaks, a kind of hyperreality, than Lost Highway or Mulholland Drive's flatout surrealism.
Some people consider Blue Velvet his best, I'm not among them myself but I still love it.
>>70968224
>He isn't into movies much anymore.
He isn't big into Hollywood anymore. Nobody wants to fund his movie ideas. And he said, he doesn't really get too many good ideas anymore.
Too bad we'll never see Ronnie Rocket.
>>70968539
Out of curiosity, what movie of his do you consider his best?
>>70968647
>tfw hollywood would rather spend time and money making shitty reboots than hire Lynch's original unique mind
Why has it come down to this
>>70966754
obligatory
>>70968765
Eraserhead is my personal favorite, granted it's not very 'Lynchian'
Probably Inland Empire is next
>>70970457
>Eraserhead is my personal favorite, granted it's not very 'Lynchian'
What? That movie is the epitome of Lynchian
