Watched the entire 1st season recently and I was impressed by how cohesive and well written the characters are. Elliot seems like a really relatable guy for us faggots (cynical, hates society, is socially inept…).
Personally, what’s most intriguing is how unreliable Elliot is as a narrator and how the show plays with the concept of reality and identity. It keeps you guessing and makes for great cliff-hangers.
Added bonus to all of this is the show’s very accurate portrayal of hacking and all the technicalities behind it. The way they portray corporate politics is pretty spot on, albeit less cynical and in your face.

It's really accurate on the technical stuff too, with concessions made for time of course, and not showing all the dead end avenues they'd likely hit first.
The only thing that ruined the illusion for me was the stilted "I see you're using Gnome" conversation in ep1.
Looking forward to seeing how Tyrell's story goes down in S2 (is he on the run?), and finding out what the deal with his wife is. What the fuck was that conversation she and Elliot had in the final ep? Didn't know what to make of that.
