Well, I'm mainly comparing on the basis that both make more ambitious and cohesive full shows (a la What. and My Girlfriend's Boyfriend) that revolve about their own sort of pathetic but endearing (not in the case of Bo) personas. Both also have musical segments in their shows
Birbiglia is a bit less complex but he's by far the better comedian

It's a live performance in which he tries to be funny but weaves in the fact he hates stand up throughout the entire show. It's not very original but it's well done and his songs and creativity are very impressive.
