Vegas is the last place I'd expect to have an underground part, because of how recent and reliant on modern construction it is, and how they hardly need plenty of big drainage tunnels. Unless you mean the service corridor type like at Disneyland.
Homeless people living in drainage tunnels isn't as interesting as sections of street sunk into the ground or catacombs.

A dead body is just as interesting without a set story added to it, because you don't know whether they're a murder victim or some previous cave explorer who got lost. Not to mention that you don't need the party angle to get at the fear and panic the person must have felt when lost.

The Odessa "catacombs" are just old mines overlapping with newer ones, with some WWII debris. You can find old mines pretty much anywhere in old mine country. It's way better mapped out than the Paris catacombs because they still mine in some parts, as well.
