As she begins to panic, she undergoes a sudden growth spurt and is quickly 6 feet, 7 inches tall. Her coworkers try to calm her down and escort her to the exit, but with a yelp of pain she is unfortunately tall enough to hit her head on the doorframe, then too tall to stand up indoors. Outside she recovers and stops growing, but she is too large to fit in the driver's seat of her car. She curls up in the back while a friend drives her to the research laboratory where the procedure was performed. Once there, the scientists admit they have no idea what is causing this continued growth, but they run a series of scans to try and find out. They determine that she is constantly growing at an extremely slow rate, but certain stimuli cause immediate spurts of growth. As they draw some blood, the pain of the needle causes another spurt, and she demolishes the equipment strapped to her. The scientists don't have a treatment yet but they do have a theory: In one week's time, give or take, she will become 50 feet tall.
