Bugs Bunny cartoons aside, what kind of TV shows does Tom Pynchon watch?
>>
Half hour HBO comedies like VEEP, Curb, Eastbound, Mr Show.

Pynchons my fav writer for sure because my fav thing in books is goofs, gags, jokes and rambunctious behavior, and his books are full to the brim of it. Every novel is like one of those novelty snake cans, you open the book & POP you get a face fulla snakes and you fall back cackling. The mad mind, the crack genius, to do it! and then you think hmmm whats he gonna do next, this trickster, and you pick the book back up and BZZZZZZZZZZ you get a shock and Hahahahahah you've been pranked again by the old pynchmeister, that card. "Did that Pynch?" he says, laughing yukyukyukyuk. Watch him as he shoves a pair of plastic buck teeth right up into his mouth and displays em for you- left, right, center- "you like dese? Do i look handsome???" Pulls out a mirror. "Ah!" Hand to naughty mouth. And you're on your ass again laughing as he snaps his suspenders, exits stage right, and appears again hauling a huge golden gong.

Supposedly he's a huge fan of Sword of Truth by Terry Goodkind. Wonder if he watched Legend of the Seeker?

Yeah there's a lot of copypastas of this style and they'll get posted whenever Pynchon is mentioned because the internet generation is afraid of speculative feelings and thought.
>>
His sister mentioned once in an interview that he watches a lot of Brady Bunch.

Nice argument you got there. Did I make you feel uncomfortable?

No one brought DFW up, but if you want my opinion on him:

I think he had a lot of potential but was too pre-occupied with 'being sincere' that it kept him from exploring literature beyond sussing out the contradictions in character's thought-patterns, and from establishing an enduring aesthetic. His non-fiction is good for what it is, though often veers too far on missing the forest for the trees because his own analysis of his own analysis tears him away from really connecting with a subject, which is ironic given his bent for 'sincerity.' He ended up writing essays about nothing, or nothing so much as what was unexpected of his subject. And his fiction reads far too much like a user end manual for human beings than much of a stirring experience, though it does have lovely moments of ennui that are true and accurate when he lets labyrinthine modes of thought manifest sensually. I think he was bold and tread a thematic path that was, if not unique, encapsulated completely by his work, but that his philosophy was a dead-end that swallowed him whole -- not to make too much out of the media narrative of his suicide.
