Suicide Squad is by far the DCEU's best film. The plot is smooth and straight forward with no big plot twist or complicated story.
Joker and Harley are the stars of this film. I'm going to be honest the damaged tattoo bothered me but Jared Leto's performance was great. He's definitely the most layered Joker to date. His role in film is tracking down Harley and wrecking everything. Harley is the second best character and surprisingly Margot Robbie holds her own against Jared Leto. As far as the love triangle between Deadshot, Harley and Joker goes, it isn't really much of a love triangle. Deadshot and Harley kind of flirt with each other but ultimately they form a good friendship.
Deadshot was good in action but the character had to many one liners that came off cheesy. He does have a good scene with Batman in the film.
Captain Boomerang was funny and Jai Courtney definitely did the character justice. My only complaint was that I wanted to see more cool things done with his boomerangs. There's a surprise cameo in this movie that ties to how he was put in prison.
Killer Croc was also funny and surprisingly had a connection to Joker's past. He definitely surprised me the most out of all the characters.
El Diablo was decent and is the character that was redeemed in this story. That being said I think they focus a bit to much on him. Half way through the film you knew he would sacrifice himself.
Katana was good in action but she didn't get to many lines. She does talk to her dead husband and the soul taker sword looks amazing. Rick Flagg was OK. Was in more comedic moments than I thought he would be.Slipknot? Blinked and he was gone.
Enchantress was the main villain. To be honest I didn't care much for her at all. She wasn't bad but clearly overshadowed by a lot of the characters in the film.
Amanda Waller was amazing. Her scene with Batman was one of my favorites of the film.
I give the film a 8/10. A film that will satisfy comic and general audiences.
