Does he hate humanity? Why else did he isolate himself and seem to welcome skynet taking over the world?
It's assumed that this world didn't have movies that talk about skynet or singularities, or else they would mention it.

Misanthropy is quite common among "thinkers".

Keymaker.
Imagine having sexbot as agent
Maybe had minority report tech and could be her.
And he was just testing the autopilot.

>be alcoholic
>be alone
>try to build a robot
The plot is obviously that he has anxiety, he's not good around people so he's sad and drink a lot but he has a solution : building a friend, sadly even the robots he made don't want to be friend with him so he bring the guy to be his friend, sad sad story
>Why else did he isolate himself
I don't remember if the movie actually covered his reasons for isolation. From what I remember, he didn't seem socially awkward. He was just a very intelligent, very rich, high-functioning alcoholic who also happened to be an asshole.
when your smart being around stupid people is like slowly having your head crushed by a vice. Having to wait patiently for them to even grasp simple concepts can become infuriating.
Its probable why /tv/ is a big place 4 u.

He was a shitty character because he was impossibly competent while also being a raging alcoholic and shut down all actual discussion of AI with the other guy by saying BUT LETS BE REAL HERE AND FORGET ALL THAT NERD SHIT as a smokescreen for the fact that the movie didn't really have any ideas of its own or explore any facet of AI, and the Turing test wasn't even intended to test what the movie claims it tests and the robot lady was very arguably not real AI.
The actors did a great job, however, and the movie was shot wonderfully. Normally this would make up for the lack of depth but as a sci fi film it's kinda central to have that.

>but as a sci fi film it's kinda central to have that.
Lwmme clarify: for a slow-burn sci film like this it kills the movie.
Maybe he was more productive working alone and hated company bureaucracy
Because his project is super secret and he can't have any intruders or spies or listening devices or internet hacks or whatever. And also to limit the danger in the case a murderous AI would escape.
And also just to add to the cinematic feeling of the movie

I understood that reference to another movie that isn't Minority Report.

>Why else did he isolate himself
Because his supermansion on the edge of the world is a super secret research lab. Security concerns alone justify the remoteness.
Oscar Isaac is the De Niro of our time

Apparently the actor is one of those actors that acts like they are geniuses irl because they portrayed people that are super smart. Like that Sheldon Cooper meme actor.

a shit actor? yeah

Humanity is ready for its upgrade. Unfortunately, that means uninstalling the old version.
