That's not what Tyrion told him. Tyrion said that it would be stupid to try to marry Dany, already a conqueror, without taking the King's Landing and approaching her as an equal suitor, rather than a beggar king.
Even if Aegon is a random Valyrian and not really the son of Rhaegar, he's the best match of all to produce Dragonriding children.
