There's some funny bits in the Wedding, Stan clocking his date for letting the emcee grab her ass, Axel trying to rape his fat titted girlfriend in the coat room. DeNiro nearly getting into the fight with the Green Beret.

Right now? I'd have to go with Lost in Translation. I never get tired of watching it and it always sticks with me long after.
Has one of the best Vietnam scenes I've ever watched, and the scenes where DeNiro's character is back home are gorgeous. But the directing is so ridiculously off, I just can't appreciate the movie. I know it's almost cliche to complain about the wedding scene, but it was way too long for absolutely no reason. Directing also involves dosing the right amount of exposition and whatever would be edited out.

I saw maybe 10 years ago and thought it was stupid melodramatic trash.
Now, I actually understand what Bill Murray is feeling. I still think it's mostly pretentious garbage, but it does capture that feeling of loneliness despite being surrounded by others. Sometimes in subtle ways.

I saw this movie like 4 years ago and I hated it. Then I saw people here on /tv/ saying it is awesome over and over again and I decided to watch it again. It became by favorite movie.
I don't know why, but I couldn't relate to the main character when I was a NEET teenager, but I "got it" when I watched it again some months ago.

First watched The Deer Hunter years ago at the recommendation of my grandfather. He felt it was the greatest piece of American cinema and I have to agree with him. The Deer Hunter stands the test of time, watched it the other day and it was like I was seeing it for the first time.
