It seems like it was 2-3 (at most) from the cast in each generation that really managed to have some career. To be honest - if I were a comedian I'd rather try to go in as a writer than a cast member.

Amy Poehler and Jimmy Fallon are doing pretty well. But yeah Samberg is probably the last star the show will ever produce. If ghostbusters turns out to somehow not be total shit then maybe Kate Mckinnon will do well but if not then thats pretty much it for SNL alum status meaning anything.
