If the movie was a vehicle for social agenda, that would actually be sort of OK. The problem is that it's kind of the opposite: they blatantly used the all-female cast as a novelty concept, and when the audience bucked they started using the SJ card to instantly (and with no counterargumentation whatsoever) deflect any criticism and/or instantly discredit any source of it.

My biggest problem is this movie could have been good.
Had they only changed a single concept. Had they said that this was a new team picking up the torch that the old team carried I would have given it the benefit of doubt. But trying to replace the originals with genderbent inserts is giving them the backlash.
