This works only if you assume that there is no way to make a good version os BVS. Because the structure isn't very different with 3 movies before Avengers and 3 movies before Justice League. You can argue that BVS introduces too much but Batman had already been a very well established character, you didn't need a full origin movie like the marvel heros needed.
The fundamental problem isn't that Warners rushed, its that zack snyder just wasn't the right person to helm the first 2 starting entries.

Different times. When TDK first came out, audiences were unsure of what to make of the superhero genre, and there was much bigger tonal difference between the separate superhero franchises (not to mention less brand loyalty in general).
Whereas now, because of the MCU and its sheer volume of content, people have been conditioned to expect certain things from superhero movies, thus creating a standard from which everything else is judged by (for better or worse).

Man of Steel and BvS were released during this economic downturn and were too grimdark and shitty due to Snyder to succeed.
