there can only be one
One of the fastest ships in all of science fiction and is capable of being operated by a single person. What's not to love about it?
And I'm not kidding about the speed. These things are capable of flying from one galaxy to another in a matter of hours. The Star Trek Voyager had been about this ship the series would've lasted like five minutes and been about a somewhat inconvenienced crew bummed out that their afternoon plans were thrown off by about an hour.

>>70657588

>>70657547
Yes but we say that Asgard ships could move between galaxies very quickly. Destiny went through what, 20-30 galaxies?
After Earth was given all of the Asgard knowledge and technology, a Daedalus could make the journey within a few months, especially if powered with a ZPM.
>>70657618
>All weapons target the central craft, it will cripple the other two because it is an utterly retarded design
>>70656395
>>70657641
its one thing to have a computer its another to fabricate something based on the tech. They had ancient database for years and barely used 3 to 5 percent of it well enough and everything they did use did not understand underlying principles about how they got to that point with the science.
The majority of their tech advances came from reverse engineering existing vessels.
>>70657284

Why you hating on my ship anon?
So, OP spammed images of Star Trek ships in the last Star Trek thread (which is still active, even though no one wanted to participate, even though he spammed several images of ships in the last dozen posts) then decided to do this instead.
It's so sad. So sad.
>>70657641
It went through a lot more than 30 galaxies.
>>70657740
Yes but the Daedalus didn't just get the Asgard computer core, it was completely upgraded with their most advanced technology. Remember that the beams were more powerful than any Asgard ship.
>>70657810
Because it was designed by a Pakled.
>>70657800
it's what we saw through two different series. They had an ancient flying city and they did little more than keep the lights on most of the time and that was with some of earth's smartest people there.
You're not going to build some kind of drive capable of going 30 galaxies away in the lifetimes of people on destiny.
The asgard were ultimate mathlete nerds and they were second stringers to the ancients. In a hundred or two hundred years, sure. Not in their lifetimes.
And ironically they were going to do a show where 500 years in future our people become an empire and take over guardianship of the galaxy sort of deal like the other advanced races which would have proven my point.

Mulgrew is such an ugly bitch. And worse yet, she was a shitty mother who severely neglected her own children for years just so she could star in a very shitty sci-fi series...
Selfish bitch runs her children's natural father out of the house and then leaves the kids with surrogate "caregivers" in order to pursue wealth and fame for her own selfish vanity.
There's a reason her kids still refuse to watch a single one of her Voyager episodes.
"There were days when my kids were suffering, and, you know, you can't walk off a set... so the preoccupation with your children's pain is enormous, and add to that eight pages of "techno-babble" that you've got to execute by 2:OO in the morning and you can't get to the phone because they don't let you... It's... it's... it's very hard... You know, in retrospect, you know, I mean, you could do it that way... Say, oh, I should have done this as opposed... I mean, who knows? I mean, so, so... so I hold fast to what I've chosen to do and I'm not apologizing for that, but the attendant toll taken on family and all of that, it's... That's it."

Logic dictates that one chooses this ship, as the first serious effort to imagine a starship.
>>70658012
fascinating. the design appears to violate all known laws of engineering and physics, yet it has not collapsed under acceleration. I surmise that a energy source greater than any currently known is holding this ship together. I will have to study this further. most illogical.
