Watch the pilot. It's about an autistic adult who was adopted as a child after his mom went batshit and died. Except there's demons of the poltergeist sort. It's got the same brand of gore porn as TWD and it's similarly bleak.

Yeah it's a premise you will have seen from a number of horror movies and it's setup in a procedural fashion as in, after the pilot the lead and his priest side-kick will now go curing possessed people week by week while some nondescript spooky bad guy hangs in the background. Looks like it might become formulaic but I thought the pilot was interesting enough at least.
