I think one of the most interesting cultural phenomenoms of the 21st century has been the intellectual decline of American Jews. I imagine the knight's best weapon would depend on the period. If it's late medieval (i.e. plate armour era) they hammers would be best since you might be going up against heavily armoured knights and men-at-arms in the vanguard. If it's early to high medieval (i.e. the best we can expect is hauberks or general mail) then I imagine a sword or a lance will pierce knights quite nicely.

To be honest, even though the show depiction is blatantly different from the book description, I actually liked the show version on its own while it was well executed, I even loved Richard Brake as the Night King. All of my complaints stem from S6E5, where the mythos was ruined, they looked bad on a technical level, arbitrary things like the earthquake and the mark were introduced, they were made into a non-threat etc
