ITT: Underappreciated films
Southland Tales
Winter Kills
Ishtar
The Stunt Man
How bout this hidden gem
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duel_(1971_film)
and the first Smokey and the Bandit (the sequels suck)
Nah, it's really not. It looks gorgeous yeah, but it's a remake and it takes far too long to really start because Friedkin wanted to cover all 4 (I think) character's backstories so the viewer doesn't know who survives

>it takes far too long to really start
oh come on, the original takes way longer before they to start to look out for drivers. the movie is like twenty minutes longer just because of that.
>tfw the blu ray transfer didn't come with any special features
>>70641609
>Duel
>Truck constantly goes up the road and waits for the protagonist
The whole premise of the movie could have been avoided if the MC just went the opposite way.

i saw this no more than 2 months ago and i can't remember a thing

What time was it in Paris?
>>70641435

>>70642302

>>70642330
>watching special features in The Current Year
Ain't nobody got time for that.
>>70641346
>starring funnyman Roy Schneider
No one ever talks about this movie when they bring up Ghibli. Easily Miyazaki's best.
>>70643914

porco rosso is GOAT.
its not perfect and its not nearly as fun or visually interesting as howls, laputa, or naussica, or arriety, but its easily the comfiest ghibli film.

>>70641469
Why was Roy Scheider never a huge star? He was in Jaws, French Connection, All That Jazz, Sorcerer...
>>70647967
NUMALE KUCKS SUCH AS YOURESELF GETTING PEGGED HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH HER INNATE INABILITY TO NOT TRULY UNDERSTAND SORCERER

>>70648710
That's funny, I've read everything by Sutter Kain.
Underappreciated by who? /tv/? Reviews? Public? Can underappreciated mean a classic film that no one talks about anymore?
>>70648710
MEET BETTER PEOPLE
ITS CLASSIC SAM NEILL GOES INSANE CORE, ALONG WITH POSSESSION AND EVENT HORIZON
>>70648710
eh... It's the best cthulucore I've seen, but it's not even Top 4 John Carpenter. The great Lovecraftian film has not yet been made. Maybe it never will be. Or maybe it's hidden out there somewhere... maybe it's The Day the Clown Cried.
>>70647967
Just because your trap dominatrix wears a fake dick doesn't make him a she.
It's like when I googled "all-female Jackass" and found somebody begging to be the star of an all-female Jackass. Somebody born with a dick.
Fucking Gaspard Noe hyping up this piece of shit Angst when there is a far better movie about shizophrenia, what a goddamn hack.
>>70647679
It's basically one of my favourite films ever and everytime I can I always bring it into any conversation
That kiss scene,man... It's my favourite kiss in the whole story of cinema
Sure it's mostly
>DUDE ANTS LMAO
but it's an excellent movie.
>>70650515
fun fact: this movie was inspired by a true story of a priest who got the idea after seeing a movie that was about a priest doing wrestling to earn money for those in need
>>70650471
In a similar vein.
>>70650873
great film, good remake
>>70647651

>>70643983
