Temple of Doom is the only good Indy sequel. Does its own thing. Only film where Indy has an impact on the ending. Entire last 40 minutes of the movie is just Indy kicking everyone's cunt in.
Temple of Doom was always the best. 1 and 3 are both top tier, with 3 being one of the best last entries in a classic trilogy, but Raiders still wins for second best.

It's not bad, but the others are better.
The pacing is lackluster, the girl is annoying, and the kid is meh.
It's a fine movie, but the others are just better and more entertaining.
When Doom changed female leads it felt like it was copying James Bond (where it's a new girl every movie) and that felt disappointing.
The kid isn't too bad but doesn't improve the flick.
The opening is so, so good but after they get off the plane the pacing screeches to a halt and becomes tiresome at the camp where the Indians give Indy his mission.
Raiders is one of the best movies ever made and coming off that Temple is a disappointing sequel because it doesn't really do anything special like Crusade did with Connery. Temple and Crusade both copy the formula of Raiders but Temple did so without adding a fun gimmick to make things more interesting like Crusade did.
