What are films like Blade Runner, either aesthetically or thematically?
Also, can someone give me the name of a film? I think it's similar to Blade Runner, which is why I'm requesting in this thread. Its title is a single word followed by a four digit year and the cover is an asian woman's face, I think.

Heads up that 2046 wont make any sense without having seen In the Mood for Love. It's a loose sequel but is also about Wong's filmography as a whole. It's hard to follow regardless, but is made easier having seen (at least) Mood and Days of Being Wild.

Thematically, hate to videogame fag, but Final Fantasy 9 is strangely similar to blade runner in theme, and some characters.

Strange days is the fucking bomb, I feel like its the closest I will ever see in a Neuromancer movie. The Case-Molly relationship is very similar to the characters in the film. Action chick and non-action dude, etc. And his shitty ex-girlfriend is similar to Lina Lee. I really think Stange Days is dope though, Fiennes is dope and his future suits are fun as heck.
