I've been rewatching everything and You Only Live Twice might be my favorite Connery film.
I actually rank YOLT, Thunderball, and Dr. No all above From Russia with Love and Goldfinger, however controversial that might be.
It had been a few years since I'd watched Goldfinger and it really wasn't as good as I remembered it being.I'm also a sucker for Bond doing underwater stuff, along with ski chases.

You Only Live Twice is kind of strange.
On the one hand, it's basically a propaganda film about how amazing Japan is, with their technology, culture, and beautiful scenery.
Then on the other hand it's a cold war space race movie where literally everyone is constantly laughing at Japan for not possibly having the technology to launch a spaceship.
