Craig was perfect for the role. It's difficult to be the most interesting character when there's an sociopathic punk hacker with assburgers involved, but he provided a nice stability to the film and charisma.
Also, I can definitely see Lisbeth "daddy issues to the max" Salander going for him rather than the chubby bland dude in the Swedish version.
