could it have been better with a CG'd Leonardo DiCaprio and a real bear?
>>70569458
time for that barebottomrape
The Revenant was a hilarious joke of a movie. I laughed uproriously in every scene. Both at Leo's terrible acting, the ridiculous gimmick cinematography, but must of all at the fact that some of the normies around me where actually taking it seriously.
It's like capeshit for people who like to think they're above capeshit. The middlebrow is the worst of all.

Is this flick anygood or is it just camera angels and panning shots the movie?
Film looks visually nice but story and dialogue looks shitty
>>70569458
bear would cry and say "this is not why I became a predator"
>>70569804
It's good if you're the type of person who thinks Nolan is a real director. Otherwise it's absolutely terrible.
>>70569804
It's ok. It's worth a watch.
>>70569804
It's a meme until you get past the first hour when Leo can move again.
Visuals are the only redeeming factor about The Revenant and even then it still has some moments where it doesn't look that great. Bear scene was done well but the shit with the bison and a couple of the kills just looked fake.
>>70569630
That second paragraph sums it up nicely
>>70569842
Sound like a great movie
>>70569510
>time for that barebottom rape
not BEARbottom
you had one job.
>>70569804
You are correct, sir
The opening battle scene is pretty damn impressive. It's all downhill from there. Inarritu pisses me off. He has no concept of subtlety
>>70569884
>bison
they were buffalo, a time when buffalo wasn't extinct
ITT: contrarians trying their best not to be reddit but failing spectacularly.
pic related is what Leo actually deserved the Oscar for
>it's a "the revenant is bad because the camerawork is too good" episode
>>70569804
>camera angels and panning shots the movie?
This. Worth a watch still, it's beautiful.
>>70569969
Shit tier bait, faggot
My mom and sister liked it. If you thought it was boring you should honestly kys
>>70569884
The visuals are secretly the biggest problem with the movie. They may look impressive on their own by the way they're used in the film only goes to distance you even more from the shit fucking narrative.
Good cinematography communicates with the film. In the revenant you're just watching a cinematographer jerk himself.
The entire film is "muh lookhowhardthiswastoacheive" while being completely inert.
>>70569995
thats not basketball diaries
That battle scene was fanastic, so was the rape and castration
>>70569630
so you're admitting that you've got to a point in your life that you can't simply enjoy a movie without dissecting it and thinking that everyone else who are there to enjoy it are so below you.
>>70569510
I never saw the movie.
Was there a plot reason for that bestiality scene?
>>70570060
There is no narrative. Its got a simple premise at best that it mostly presents nonverbally. I'm not excusing the film, thats where it falls on it's face.
>>70570097
"Enjoyment" is the worst meme ever to plague cinema, or art in general for that matter.
I have a keloid on my back, if a bear ripped it off when the skin heals would it grow back?
It's shit. Didn't even bother to watch it. Meanwhile all my capeshit-loving friends praise it.
>>70570142
You take yourself way too seriously
>>70570142
Overthinking art is cancer. Art is there originally purefly because of the enjoyment and fun you have with it. This applies to everything, from cavemen art to capeshit.
>>70570173
When you get to the end of your pathetic life, pause and ask yourself where all the self debasement actually got you.
>>70570142
Stop being a pretentious douche
>>70570142
if you're just looking for a fedora dump, all you had to do is ask
>>70569458
A bear doesn't just rustle you for a bit, a bear completely fucks your shit up in a few seconds leaving a bloody mess of a corpse.
>>70570173
>>70570216
>>70570255
>falling for that piss poor bait
Haven't watched the movie, was he raped by a bear?? But really?
>>70570275
depends how aggressive they, they sometimes play around for a few minutes
>>70569630
> wide angle trees
> dude so kino
>>70572371
> he made an image specifically to fit the colour scheme of /tv/
Jesus christ
Why did the bear rape him?
>>70572864
He had oscar bait up his arse
>>70572637
>implying I made that image
>>70570275
Well it is based on a real story to some degree, the guy did get fucked up by a bear then it got shot.
>>70572637
its not some herculean task dude
>>70570275
>Why is the bear not breaking his neck
>why is the bear not biting his neck
>how is leo not dead after shooting the fucking thing in the shoulder and making it mad
>eh, okay.
Movie did have it's good points. I liked the cinematography, beautiful landscapes and sunlight vistas. Seems fairly deep in terms of imagery and metaphor, reminds me of Kubrick how he takes a cinematic action story and interweaves visual cues.
>>70569458
A real bear wouldn't have been able to move that fast
>>70569630
Still breddy gud watch
>>70574247
True. The fast bear really ruined the movie for me. I'm an expert on how fast bears move, btw.
>>70570357
Yes, superstar actor Leonardo Dicaprio gets raped by a bear in his Academy Award-winning performance in The Revenant.
>>70569931BearBottom
>>70574436
oh i gotta buddy thats an expert in bears let me call him up and have him take a look
>>70572637
Oh no he spent 11 seconds in Paint How horrible
>>70574436
Bear A, traveling 20 miles per hour, leaves the northern Dakotas heading towards southern territory, 80 miles away. At the same time Bear B, traveling 35 mph, leaves southern territory heading toward the north. When do the two bears meet? How far from the starting points do they meet?
>>70575118
>REEEE
no you won't get me math, boooo
