What are some films that have a distinct visual style, preferably a comfy one? For example, I really like the aesthetics of Chungking Express and Fallen Angels.
Other films that have something distinctive in their visuals that I like are Raising Arizona and Leon: The Professional.

I don't know, something that evokes optimism or just plain enjoyment in yourself. This sequence illustrates what I'm talking about. Everything just looks so idyllic.

This. I only visit this board for the GoT threads, I'm a total pleb when it comes to movies and I usually think slow/avantgardish/not-much-talking movies are boring, but Lost in Translation really made a massive impression on me (I just made it sound like a bad thing...). I saw it alone in my bed one night my gf was out, and I now realize that it was the comfy feeling it gave me that made me like it.
