In terms of modern jumpscare flicks, Sinister was much better.
The conjuring wasn't especially scary, it wasn't original, it was just a stupid poltergeist.
I guess people liked it cause it was supposedly based on a true story??

It's not a "meme", but you gotta understand that horror has a lower threshold for quality than any other genre.

A 9/10 horror film is a 6/10 sci-fi/drama/comedy/romance/thriller.
