These are superheroes who solve problems with explosions and shooting lasers out of their eyes. Violence is an accepted part of their story narrative.

The reason nobody complains about the trailers is because they actually give the scene and her character context. The reason it's such an issue is that someone who isn't familiar with X-Men could see this ad and it could bring up bad memories from their past. IMO Xavier fighting Apoc in the dream sequence would work much better as a still ad as it more illustrates the point of the film.

You're not trying to capture a moment in the movie, you're trying to capture the overall sense of the movie, and that's that the good guy is fighting the the bad guy.
