None of these are valid complaints, except maybe Jar Jar. Midichlorians are just a way of explaining the force, C3PO being built by Anakin isn't necessarily a bad thing, and Qui-Gon bet on Anakin because he wanted to test his hypothesis that he was gifted in the force.

Give him a little more credit. Lucas was the initial spark that got the ball rolling. And he had more input in the stories than most people now want to give him credit for. For ANH, he has sole writing credit. On ESB, Leigh Brackett is only listed as a writer out of respect. Lucas intended for her to take another stab at things, however, she died before she could. Afterwards, he basically started from scratch and worked with Lawrence Kasdan. The two tackled RotJ together as well.

7 felt like a bad disneyified rehash. What angers me more is why they even had jj abrams direct it. abrams' works usually have a unique vibe that is really evident in films like the star trek films. force awakens didn't have any abrams style at all. It seems like they just hired abrams for the name.

It's weird to think I was BLOWN AWAY by episode one. I mean, I could not shut up about it. Had to get some toys, obi-wan, qui-gon, darth maul. Coolest shit of my life.
As the 2 others came out my opinion started to change.AotC I was like.... alright.... Thought the final act of AotC was amazing though. RotS I actually liked, it made me feel like a star wars fan again, and I still enjoy it today.
Now that Im even older, I think episode one is one of the worst story's for such a big budgeted movie. It's like a big shaggy dog story. They leave Naboo, do a bunch of horse shit, and come right back to Naboo. The finale of AotC was certainly far more exciting than episode 7.
I mean, I cam around over the years, I hope others will as well.
