We all know now that GoT is by far the most successful TV series on this planet the writers have switched to syrup mode to get every penny they can, but Arya's plot line is the most frustrating evidence of this. They took two seasons for something that could have been fitted into a single episode. They didn't even use all that time for proper character development. Arya is still the naive stupid girl she was at the beginning with the difference that she now knows when to say "A girl is no one" (really just that, she obviously didn't understand what that exactly means and how to put that idea into action). I felt absolutely nothing happening and honestly you could literally shuffle her sequences around and nobody would even notice.

I don't get why they went down this path, though. There was still plenty of book material left for various characters. Instead they rerouted or killed off many of them, skipping their book sequences, and loaded up the episodes with filler. What's that even achieving?
It seems like they're loading up on filler to save budget for big huge episodes at the end.
