This was the Blair Witch Project of my generation. Honestly thought this whole movie was real the first time I saw it. Didn't know how fucked up it was going to get (that makes it the scariest for me) or how far it will go because it seemed like no holds barred after the introductory autopsy scene.
Sure, it hasn't aged well at all but no horror film ever had a bigger, scarier intense effect on me than this film, although Cannibal Holocaust and Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer come close.
Personally Session 9 was probably one of the best horrors I've watched.
The Shining is also up there mostly because unlike most horror movies it seems just as disturbing if not even more disturbing every time I rewatch it.
