I watched the first season but dropped it. It came across as one of those shows that works by stroking the audiences ego, make them feel empowered by giving them storylines to feel smart and in the know about underground activities.
S1 is GOAT. Dropped after half of s2. Too much family not enough Ray snapping wrists.
You owe it to yourself to stop watching after s1

I tried to watch season one. It was filled with Boston Catholic and Hollywood Jew stereotypes. Of course the Catholic Church angle involved child raping priests. The over the top family conflict became too much for me to stomach so I didn't complete season 1 and don't plan to.

It had some interesting elements but I feel it focused far to much on family conflict like a soap opera for women rather than being more about the Hollywood fixer story like a Magnum PI type show.

What? the storylines are basic as fuck. What's good about the show is that it doesn't take any sides. Ray is an asshole.
Too much family drama though, gotta agree that it should do more fixing stuff. It does seem like s3 is progressively stepping it up though, tbf.
