My dog skip. The ending gets me every time.

It's such a beautiful day.

Watched this last night. It's like combining Before Sunrise and Before Midnight into a single movie. Fucking depressing.

Can anyone recommend me a very specific type of feel? I'm in the need of a good cry, but I don't want something blatantly depressing or sad. I want the tears to be of something else. The only examples that come to mind would be The Master or even True Detectice Season 1, but preferably more potent. Does that makes sense? It can be from happiness (Tree of Life), or of being lost (The Master), or perhaps just from something satisfying (Edge of Tomorrow). None of those made me cry, but the made me feel to some varying degree. Any recs?

Bumping for this >>70451973 or straight up sad movies, I just need to cry.

But preferably something with specifically potent scenes or emotional endings. Overall depressing tone, while effective, doesn't necessarily evoke tears for me

Not sure if it would fit or if you have seen it. But i kind of got that sort of feeling after Valhalla Rising.
I went into it knowing nothing and by the end i couldnt really identify the emotion i had except that i enjoyed it.

I loved Valhalla Rising, but I wouldn't consider it a particularly emotional experience. Another example would be Inherent Vice, it has some pretty feely moments, although the movie as a whole is certainly too dense and fun to really ever be sad

Thanks man

400 blows and stroszek are the ones you should definitely start with

More examples would be Malick. In addition to ToL, The Thin Red Line and Knight of Cups were both powerful movies to me.

Also, thread is dead, feel free to ignore me and continue posting bleak movies.
