if "The past is already written. The ink is dry" crap is really true then what is the point of bran's greenseeing, to give us a bunch of flashbacks? how would that happen in the books?
The same way.
Narratives are actually already existent, btw. Reading them doesn't make things happen. Bran is just a window into plot details for the reader.
