I heard about it because Sharlto is the lead but I never bothered to check it out. A Playstation original series doesn't inspire trust.
I've been watching it.
The first season starts VERY, VERY uneven. There's no focus and the various sideplots are scattered all over the fucking place. Gets better towards the end, mainly thanks to Eddie Izzard salvaging it.
Started season 2 and it's more focused, but they're banking hard on the "darker and sexier" approach. Black lady cop suddenly goes from dressing like a typical TV detective to wearing like snakeskin pants and super lowcut shirt and there's a scene where Wikus chases a guy into a sex dungeon club that's there for no reason other than to show some tits, fornication, and a guy with a fountain firework jetting out his ass while he's on a swing

I think what they were trying to do was morph together the popular murderporn genre with capeshit and try to get the best of both worlds but this was a colossal failure
