Holy shit is this movie boring as hell, why did everyone love it so much? Could barely hear what everyone was saying and almost fell asleep at the theater
I've told this little story before, but here goes:
Man of Steel is the most boring movie I have ever seen.
How do I know it was so brazenly disinteresting? Because while my wife and I were watching it, in the theater, we became so disengaged from the damn thing that somewhere during the last third of the movie I started leaning forward and looking for trash on the floor to engage me. Garbage. On the floor. In the dark. That was all I could think of to brighten my mood in that dour, mishmash of a noise-given-form. After I realized what I was doing, I looked over at my wife who was drawing on a notepad from her purse, in the darkness. She couldn't see what she was doing, but by god she was going to fucking do something interesting.
Retrospectively, I wonder why we didn't walk out. I guess I'd never done that in a movie, and didn't even consider it an option. What a fucking boring movie.

Capeshit flicks. All of them. They're all just reiterations of the same 5 or 6 stories with different characters. There's no stakes and no weight to anything happening onscreen because you know the characters have indestructible plot armor, and anything deeper than a kiddie pool taking place would anger and confuse audiences. The entire genre is trash and I have no idea how so many grown adults sit around watching these flicks.

It started off really neat with the intense mise en scene opening with her running away from the soldiers, and walking in on a war scene and the female revolutionary stuff, but then she gets to the farm house and it turns out the whole movie is just her arguing with an old senile lady who gets breastfed by her hot daughter, and then the MC girl breastfeeds a unicorn.
