To be completely honest, timetravellmao is the only reasonable way to explain the divine in asoiaf's universe.
Martin has a sci fi approach to fantasy, with this you can explain plenty of supernatural things like flamewhispering, dreams, and all that shit.
Bran or someone else with greensight would be "gods" invading people's consciousness.
