I haven't properly enjoyed modern film in a long time, and whenever I do, it's a one off. Everything feels so "blockbustery" these days. That's understandable but it's still bland as fuck. It's production value over everything else these days.

Honestly, Lawrance was one of the best movie experiences of my life.

No mainstream blockbuster film needs to exceed 90 minutes. I hate how 2 and a half hours has became the standard runtime for a big summer blockbuster when they only have enough depth to fill 75 minutes without feeling bloated.
>>70412773
2h should be the standard runtime IMO. Unless you're making capekino like TDK. Otherwise, no thanks.
>>70412773
I agree, all those super hero and transformers movie that last for like 3 hours should burn in a fire.
If you need more than 2 hours to do a fun action flick you're shit at directing.
>>70412773
2 hours is too long. 1 hour 30 minutes is too short. The perfect length is 1 hour 45 minutes.

By far the worst trend in recent cinematic history. Nobody fucking needs 3 hour action movies. Especially not of capeshit.

Plus tip
>movie is barely 90 minutes
It's amazing how this is like a giant relief these days when it used to be the norm. The last two movies I saw in theaters, Keanu and Hardcore Henry, both pleased the shit out of me because they were so concise.
And even then, both felt about fifteen minutes too long.
>>70415461
What pisses me off is LITERALLY how easy it is to lose weight. It requires absolutely no exercise, no movement, no money (saves money). You just do ONE THING: eat less
you can shed weight off like a fucking maniac but most fat people have the willpower of a 3 year old with candy in front of him. they try to do these crazy 1.5/2k calorie diets which no doubt is a failure coming from 4/5/6k calorie-a-day diets. It's no surprise that fat people are statistically stupider than normal sized people
>>70416624
fat ass you replied to. how is following a 1500 calorie diet detrimental? ive been doing it for a few weeks and even doing that, the weight is coming off at a snails pace
>>70416669
Because it's too drastic of a change from such a high calorie diet. Sooner or later the fatty will break and binge hard. A smart way to do it is to figure out what how many calories you eat normally to maintain your obese body, and cut that amount by 500/1000/1500 etc slowly
Most also "eat clean" like 20 carrots and green shakes and other bullshit. It doesn't matter what you eat (for weight loss/gain), what matters is calories in/calories out. You can lose weight by eating twinkies pizza and ice cream as long as you eat under your TDEE
And i seriously doubt you are eating 1500 calories a day as a fat fuck and are barely losing weight. Fatties have an amazing ability to underestimate their calories; I've seen in first hand with fat friends who asked me to help them. 1500 a day for a few weeks? You should be shedding lots of weight but this also depends on how tall and fat you are. I'm 99% sure the problem is with you
>>70416669
Not the other dude, but I'm also following a 1500 calorie diet and it's working extremely well.
In order for it to work well though you have to do a few things, overestimate your calories by a bit and don't be afraid to starve (especially at the start of the diet when you're breaking your old habit of eating much more). The starving feeling goes away eventually and you can take the edge off by drinking water.

>>70417002
I'm sure most people don't realize how much of their caloric intake is from things like soda and juice.
>>70415461
man up and lose it then faggot.
obviously you dont hate it enough to do something decisive about it
>>70412322
ITT: ADD
>>70417074
Yeah that's true. It brings up an interesting point though, while the whole weight loss thing is really about calories in/ calories out. You really cannot afford to eat unhealthy things like soda and chocolate during your 1500 calorie diet.
You're going to starve halfway through your day since you spent all your calorie budget on things that don't help hunger at all.
So in conclusion, he should really try to eat healthy (no soda, chocolate and limit carb intake) eat more protein since it keeps you full for a longer period of time.

Desolation was my favorite, I actually really liked the romance plot. Most of the other stuff got boring or had too much CGI.
